Delivery service

Our plans are to distribute the gas tanks to our customers for an extra fee. We want to use trucks or jeeps to transport the tanks for our company to the consumer, depending on what is more efficient for our company, because we want to remain with our low cost strategy. Our company has thought of a unique way to transport gas to our customers. Our company is searching for the most effective and easiest way to bring the gas to the customers. 

 

 

Transporting LPG cylinders safely to our customers

  1. Cylinders are filled to a level which will provide a remaining vapour space, adequate to facilitate the thermal expansion of the liguid when subject to a temperature increase. 

  2. Each time a cylinder is filled, it must have a soapy water leak check by the fill operator in accordance with the stardard operating procedure for decant filling.

  3. There is no danger with transporting small volume LPG cylinders that appropriately restrained and correctly filled. However, like all other fuels, LPG should be treated with care.

 

Other essential guidelines for our employees

  • Cylinders must never be laid down. Always keep cylinder upright and well secured.

  • Our employees must never tamper with a cylinder or valve. If excess force is needed to open or close the cylinder valve, or the valve is damaged in any way, they must have it repaired at our authorised cylinder test station.

  • If a leak from the cylinder valve is detected, move the cylinder to a safe location, at least 20 metres away from any sources of ignition until it is empty.

  • Ensure that cylinder are always kept away from sources of ignitions.

  • Should there be a fire, use a dry chemical fire extinguisher as these are suitable to extinguish LPG fires.

  • In the event of fire, an LPG cylinder should be removed from the heat source. If this is not possible, keep the cylinder cool by spraying water on to it. However, if flames are threatening to engulf the cylinder, the area must be evacuated and emergency services notified immediately. 

  • Ensure always that the valves is tight before and during transporting.
